And here is a bit about our horses from one of our youngsters...

STAR: I like star because he is a lovely horse (to me and Georgia). What I don’t like about Star is that you can’t catch him like you can with the other horses, and when you try really hard to make him canter he doesn’t, he only trots or sometimes copies the horses in front even though you try really hard not to.

INDIO: I like Indio because you can control him easily and you don’t have to kick him or have to use a whip with him. What I don’t like about Indio is his canter (for me) because when you try to slow him down he goes faster and faster.

E-BEAU: I like E-beau because we can do whatever with him like you can walk, trot, canter and jump. What I don’t like about E-beau is NOTHING I like everything about him.

OSCAR: I like Oscar because he is a lovely, gentle horse, his canter is like a rocking chair (it is lovely). What I don’t like about Oscar is NOTHING I like him how he is.

ROBERTO: I like Roberto because he has lovely jump (and he is a lovely horse), his canter is ok (for me). What I don’t like about Roberto is that he thinks he is the boss (but he isn’t) the last time I rode him he was very difficult he was going left when I wanted him to go right, so then Daphne told me a trick how to get him to go the way I wanted so I did that and it worked.

PERDIGON: I like Perdi because he is so sweet and so good, when I go to catch him some times he walks right up to me and I put the head collar on him. What I don’t like about Perdi is NOTHING I like him how he is.

FREDDY: I like Freddy because he stays out the way when you muck out his paddock (some do some don’t). What I don’t like about Freddy is that he gets moody when another horse comes near him (like Larios) then he kicks them if they don’t go away from him.

ALHAMBRA: I like Alhambra because he is sweet and a good pony. What I don’t like about Alhambra is that he nips/bites your hand.

PONCHE: I like Ponche because he is a good horse to ride on (but not if you are riding with no stirrups, that was a bumpy ride). What I don’t like about Ponche is NOTHING he is a wonderful horse.

DON SIMON: I like Don because he always wants to see you and he is a really lovely donkey. What I don’t like about Don is that when you are mucking out he follows you.

GUINNESS: I like Guinness because you can go and pat him and you can go and catch him really easily. What I don’t like about Guinness is the way Leah struggles with Guinness to make him go forward (he goes sideways).

SCRABBLE: I like Scrabble because he is a lovely horse to ride. What I don’t like about Scrabble is NOTHING he is a perfect horse.

BACRDI: I like Bacardi but he is a bit stubborn. What I don’t like about Bacardi is that he thinks that is is the boss but he isn’t I will try and try as hard as I can if I go on him again.

SMIRNOFF: I like him because he is very good-tempered (not saying that the others are bad-tempered). What I don’t like about Smirnoff is he is a bit shy (never mind he will get used to us/me).

LARIOS: I love Larios because he is fast and he is a very, very good jumper and he is lovely. What I don’t like about Larios is NOTHING he is perfect.

HARRY: I like Harry because he is the best horse there (then it is Larios then Star etc:.). What I don’t like about Harry is NOTHING he is the best horse there!!!

Also, then there is Hannah, about to go back to the UK and, boy will we miss her!

She originally came to the yard as a customer but has developed into a really good friend.
